Your mission
Bright Capital is looking to hire a (Senior) Investment Associate (f/m/d) for its Frankfurt office to strengthen its private debt investment team, focusing on the European lower mid-market. In this role, you will support the investment and portfolio team across the entire investment lifecycle, from origination and underwriting to portfolio management and investor reporting. You will work closely with senior management while also taking on individual responsibilities in executing transactions and managing existing investments.
Key Responsibilities:- Origination & Execution: Sourcing and assessing private debt investment opportunities in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
- Due Diligence & Structuring: Conducting financial and market due diligence, preparing investment papers, and supporting negotiations.
- Financial Analysis & Investment Committee: Developing financial models, scenario analyses, and presenting opportunities.
- Portfolio Management: Monitoring existing investments, analyzing performance, and engaging with portfolio companies.
- Collaboration: Working closely with management teams, private equity firms, and internal stakeholders.
Your profile
We are looking for an individual with excellent technical and modelling competencies, an entrepreneurial attitude, and great German market knowledge as well as language skills to join our investment team.
Key skills and experience include: - 3-5 years experience across leveraged finance, debt advisory, or other relevant private equity or investment banking experience
- Strong credit experience and knowledge is required.
- Being able to build models (including DCF and LBO)
- Ability to work on multiple deals concurrently and quickly identify key issues and mitigants
- Highly commercial with strong business acumen is essential
- Good understanding of the DACH corporate/sponsor market, with a particular focus on the small to mid-cap space
- Solid exposure to legal documentation
- Entrepreneurial and self-starting attitude to match our dynamic culture
- Strong communication skills and fluency in German and English
